The question is, of course, is whether you might as well build the full-size version as the RC model, Mark!!
Glad you got back safely (you've got one great admirer at least from your previous photos!
Take Care.

Mark,, with the control rods, are the sliders, trapped between the springs, commercial parts from the m/c world, or did you have to make them? how did you select the spring rates?

yeah that part and the collets will be available from most model shops,
they use them as throttle linkages for nitro cars

think theyre called throttle linkage sliders or something like that and mine were made by fastrax.

i drilled the slider and collets out to suit the carbon rods and make sure theres no binding with the slider.

the springs we're just ones i had lying around at work,
theyre about 38mm long (uncompressed)
wire is 0.52mm thick

Thanks Mark. I have ordered "OFNA Linkage Slide Kit, Blue OFN10704" from PhilsHobbyShop on ebay. There are some other slightly different ones but not important for me yet. Anyone wanting to go a similar route, watch out for postage charges they vary from 2.37 to 15.68!!!

Not so perfect. As far as I can tell Phil's Hobby Shop web pages have an error and the part number should be 10705. This is if you believe the Ofna site http://www.ofna.com/parts.php?start=0

Update on the slider linkages. This is currently disaster. Ofna have changed them to another shape which can be seen as 10704 on www.ofna.com. 10705 has also been changed and they have only new stock, so none of the old ones are available.

The changes have been made in the past few months, why? I couldn't say, but it looks like we will have to make parts to do the job, unless anyone knows of a look-alike alternative.

Chris............
no price as yet, I would not think they aren't to expensive going by some of their other stuff, like the Eagle with front prop.
I did read a price on that somewhere and thought I wouldn't mind that either at the price.
I am hoping they bring it out in ARF so we put our own servo's and moter esc ect.
I do like the trike as well and they would be great down the local park. also saw a red bull emblemed wing in the site so they must be getting around.
can't wait.

Also found this, interesting concept.

yeah looks like a nice model, loving the redbull wing! so cool

this looks abit like antonios microlight but with a topless wing design for more simplicity, a topless design would be alot easier as its just solid struts acting as flying wires and ground wires too.

the wing is a mix of rogallo and real hang glider wing, the big billow should make it very stable,
theyve got a keel fin aswell to help the sail shift Chris so can have the frame rigid, i went with the floating cross bar as did antonio.
they dont seem to of got the slow flight and floating like antonio has with his i think this is due to the hangpoint being very far forward? pause it as he flies by and youll see what i mean.
