What i don't understand:
* as long as the quad is in the air, the drift is getting worse & worse
* it drifts to the right AND forward
* i counter it with giving Stick left & back until i am fully left en back with the stick
* if i put the quad on the ground and go back up (without disarming or resetting it first); there is a good stable hover for 3 seconds
Anybody with the same issues or any suggestions ?
I think the next step could be changing the motors/ESC's ?

Hi, I have the same problem but only when in cold environment, around 0C or less. When it is warm enough it is perfectly leveled and does not drift. Look how it hovers inside. Is it cold where you fly?

I read a manual again, and found arming was different on 1.24, as you pointed out.

Nice hovering. But you neglected one iron safety rule: NEVER fly when kids are around!
Those rotating blades have the potential to kill. You'll never know when a glitch occurs and you don't have any control over the craft.
I know it's hard to keep kids away - but multirotors are no toys!

Yeah, I know it, I was afraid. He was sitting behind my back (for protection) and then decided to come in. I'll never do that again, just wanted to show it works, outside in cold it drifts.

Any idea of the changelog for the different versions?
I got mine with 1.22 but I wanted to make sure it's worth to upgrade to 1.24.

One final question, does the 3D mode is on/off? From the manual I got that when enabled it just increases the max rate in the AIL/ELEV channels as it stills will do auto-level when we release the sticks. Is that correct?

No - I couldn't get any reaction during flight. The only activity was the value in the GUI.

Meanwhile I unsoldered the BMP085 and mounted it on a DIL-8 PCB to test it with my MWC.

started to experiment to find a solution for the "3 second great stable hover & start to drift problem"

What did i do?

programmed the ESC's(HobbyWing Skywalker 20A) individually for:
* throttle range
* brake off
* battery type: NiMH (yes NiMH; see megaindex)
* Cutoffmode: soft cut
* Cutoff threshold: Low
* start mode: normal
* timing: tried high / tried low
other tests:
* Changed the props from 3 blade to 2 blade
* Recalibrate IMU before each test
* Recalibrate the FF board with the CH5 switch(green led) before each test (with full throttle before switch off CH5)

What was NOT tested:
* 3D mode
* Upgrade firmware
What i don't understand:

I had a same symptom, and replaced the ESCs with no help.
Finally resolved by re-cal IMU with a trick.

My case was, it drifted to the left side.
Before IMU calibration, lifted up the right side of the PCB about 5 mm, so that the PCB tilted to the left side, and hit the IMU cal button.

This fixed my drifting problem.

I2C on 1.24

I2C ESC on 1.24 is worse than on 1.21

It hardly turned props.

With 1.21, it was flyable, even though sluggish, but can't fly with 1.24

Yes, I did not forget to change setting to I2C from PWM...

Now I have returned back to PWM, and it works fine.

What about IMU CAL from receiver, did you try it (available on 1.24)? It would be nice to know if it works, since sometimes people need to do IMU Calibration and havent got a PC near.

About the imu cal trick If Im not wrong I have fixed my right side drift lifting the right side of the quad when doing the calibration. You say you had
left side drift and fixed it lifting the right (oposite side), Im confused....

I tried to calibrate IMU from TX by both sticks up and moving to outside, but
nothing happened, no beep, no LED blink...

For IMU cal from PC, please refer attached

I have a flexible mount. Please see the right leg, which is lifted up ~ 3mm.
This mount not only eliminates vibration, and but also helps to adjust drifting at field without PC.

Hi guys, I'm new to this site and sport. This is my first post. I took the plunge and bought the GLB DJI 450 with FF board ARTF kit. It looks awesome. I put it together. Bought myself a futaba t6j. Did the setup stuff and the RC calibration. Now when I try to arm the board nothing happens. I don't know what to do and the quad is sitting on my dinning table rotting. PLS HELP. Anyone has any experience to share. How do I arm the damn thing. I followed the instruction and no green LED is lighting up.
