Sorry m8 i just opened the bag of gears so you take off the small plastic sprocket & put a metal one on, i didn't realize it was 2 piece.

Can anyone tell me if the performance (in terms of acceleration & top speed overall) of a ball raced HOR running sticky tyres and the Kyosho 28BB upgrade motor is at all comparable with running a brushless set up?
Will the bike wheelie running the 28BB??
Are there other considerations?

Yeah just pull the plastic one off and put the metal one on, I use a little drop of super glue to stop it coming apart

Deen mate you do not have to add any weight to the rider, to make it turn better run the light flywheel or take it out completely, or as I do run the ZH racing tire insert and ZH tires, that Kv motor will be fine I have a few on 7700kv but like my lower Kv hors better, as to the servo you cant beat the Hitec 65Mg fit and forget
You cant get a metal servo horn and you dont need it, just try and get all the free play out of the steering head.
Cheers
Steve

Cheers.

Steve,
Can you please help me mate. I am coming back to these bikes after running a static rider 12 years or so ago. I am rebuilding that, but have recently bought a new HOR and want to run a brushless setup.
I have been reading your posts on this amongst others and am getting confused. You have advised some BM's to use a cheap Hobbywing brushless set up and I have seen these on ebay & other places, but you also seem to use or advise using Castle Creations stuff, which seems to be more expensive but I assume better quality.
Am I right in saying that all motors need to be 1/18 scale? and am I also right in assuming that, at least for a newbie like me, it is best to buy a motor/esc combo package from the same manufacturer??
Any advice appreciated and sorry if it means repeating stuff you may have previously posted on this subject.
Love your bikes by the way - do you use an airbrush setup for painting or hobby aerosols and brush on??
