Exceed Helium 450 motor 2 cell or 3 cell
I just ordered an Exceed Helium 450 motor for a junk parts heli that I built from pieces of two broken T-Rex's and a really old MX400.
Then after ordering it, I noticed that it's listed as for a 2s battery. So is every other Exceed 450 motor. Not wanting to smoke it right off, I thought I would ask if anyone knows if that's a misprint. I can't imagine how any 3000KV motor for a 450 would work with a 2 cell.
Anyone know the real story?

The specs show 2 cells, but also 11.1v which would be 3 cells.
This is the problem with Exceed and the reason I do not buy more. I have one of the rocket motors for an airplane that seems OK, but motor specifications on their site are often wrong or nonexistent. Very few if any recommend a prop size, some do not even give the weight.

I ordered one of those Helium motors for my cheap clone 450 heli and was disappointed with it. Not because of specs but more on what didn't come with the motor... not a single bullet connector and not even the mounting screws for it. Imagine to go looking for the right mounting screw... after I found the right size, I had to grind/dremmel it to the right length so it won't hit the windings inside. I hope yours will come with it.
