Wanting to buy an original style BNF (heli only)
Erm... where ?
IF I can't find an OEM 'old plug" what are the differences/drawbacks with the 'new and improved' version

Solo Pro 260a.

However, not all parts are direct fit between the two.

Blade pivot pins are larger diameter on the v911. Therefore blades are interchangeable.

Flybar hub on the v911 is slightly thicker. And it's pivot and retention screw locks in differently than the Solo Pro 260a.

So if you use the CNC head made for the Solo Pro, you'll have to use the Solo Pro blades and flybar for best compatibility.

The question is, why do you want the old style v911 versus the new ones?

If it's because you have older v911 already, then it makes more sense for battery compatibility.

If it's your first v911, then grabbing one of the newer ones will ensure compatibility going forward. (At least until WLToys change on us again)

If you're in the US, consider getting the h911 from Xheli. From what I can make out, the PCB looks like it say WL on it, so possibly made by WLToys themselves and rebranded.

Why the h911? The unique paint scheme. (Which some of us would gladly buy off you) Secondly, if you guys didn't notice, it comes with a crash kit.

Lastly, it ships out of CA. My orders from them in the past came in two days. And you get the retail box.

Finally, you can be the first to report back on how it flies.

Thanx Already own a couple of 911's. They work "fine'.
Just want a fresh one of another colour.
So it's.. only.. the battery connector that's changed??
Not a big deal if that's all.
Sheesh.. I had forgotten how involved just buying these things can be .. it's a bit of a quagmire.
Xheli sells a parts only Heli.. useless for my needs.
Bangood 'seems' to have only new plug style and some poorly done junker they are trying to pass off as 911 'old plug' product
Could be wrong tho..will have to explore their site much further to be sure.

PS: What's a hero h911? Good bad indifferent? Just curious

Sorry I didn't read the description on those Xheli links. Seems they're not BNF as they don't include motor, servo, ESC.

I think tiggertoo1962 mentioned new and old versions fly about the same. Only reason to comsider new version for old version owners is possibility of old style battery being phased out, but I don't think that will happen any time soon. The yellow/white clones made by JiuChon are every bit as good as the wl toys ones, maybe even better, and they still take old style batteries.

V911 bnf

Hello, I would like to buy a BNF but am unsure if I can build it. Are the instructions clear? Is there any soldering? Please tell me what's involved.
Tnx. Vince

The BNF models are complete. To fly you need to just insert your battery, and bind to a Wl toys(v911, v929,v939, and v949) or compatible transmitter.

I broke my paddled fly bar, and left on the Kitchen table. While at the store the wifey sent me to, she put in a box of trash, then threw it in the big trash dumpster.
Now I have to wait for the replacement.Luckily Helidirect has the Xtreme Carbon Flybar Set - MSR for $8.50 shipped, that is 10 cents cheaper then Mericle-marts price for just the paddles.

P.S.
For any MSR users out there I will have free carbon fly bar available just send me a PM and I will drop it in an envelope and send it out.

The JiuChon don't fly the same as the WL Toys v911. As I mentioned earlier they don't pirouette on axis but instead swirl like toilet bowl. The CG is different. The v911 is more responsive because the CG optimized better. Also the flybar feels heavier on theJiuChon. I have both helis and those are the things I noticed. Build quality is good though.
