I sere some reinforcement on the skids and longer shaft... That could be a cheaper fix for canopy strikes than the paddle flybar???

Paddles have other benefits too, such as quicker control response and longer flight time (due to less weight).

I have another idea to reduce canopy strikes - the use of a SP270 main shaft (aluminum = light and about 3mm longer than stock ...)

No, it's an mCPX style plug (means larger)

... and it says "In Stock, Usually ship in 1 business day". I find the yellow one looks cool too, and is apparently easy to see.

I usually prefer white blades to fly inside because most of the walls are pale color ! The yellow version of the V911 is a different bird then the black/orange and the white/blue/red. It has a stronger landing set, an easier tail to replace, a different sound ( don't know why ???) , and fly a lot smother. With a pair of white blades it is my number one helicopter to fly in my living room.

I got a yellow one as my first heli... damn it was crap... broken within the first 10 min.

I know i got a lemon, because i also got the wltoys v911 and the white v911.
White v911 was pretty stable.

IMHO, wltoys v911 is the most precise heli i have tried... compared to yellow & white v911, xieda 9958 and bema helios 100.

I'm going to replace the rx on the helios 100 with the rx from my lemon yellow. Have heard that the combination is pretty awesome.

My xieda 9958 sucks.. it's very hard to keep the rudder steady and it breaks easy..
wltoys v911 and white v911 are tanks compared to 9958.

but i have read that the v911 will not fly as well outside as the 9958 and also the 9959 with the msr mods make it fly as stable and as agile as the v911 indoors. is this true?

The things is.. with flying outside you mean ZERO wind.. i tried many times with LITTLE wind and failed...
So.. outside flying is just " a theory" or you live in a very enclosed area.

EDIT:
ZERO wind = 0.1 to 8 km/h or 5 mph
LITTLE wind = above ZERO wind
" a theory" = you like spending you time wind-surfing or you have a lot of practise.

WLtoys V911 Flight #3 - Marina Barrage (3 min 22 sec)

People were flying kites while I flew my V911.

Ahhh... it seems like you are flying in a more confined area than the others... plus there are many sides with tall buildings shielding the wind... also the tries are hardly moving...

they were flying kites, sure, but in very different altitude than you were flying.

Again, i'm not saying it is impossible, just impractical.

I have quads (v929, v939, vitality h36, udi) and they do handle winds... up to 20 km / hour without crazy stick movements. I once tried mine v929 with 30 km winds... i could fly it.. but very impractical :0)
