The POT inside the servo is probably messed up. Telling the motor to move the arm but not getting feedback that it's been done. So it hits the servo endpoint. The motor continues to spin and thus it start to overheat. If left, the motor will burn out or burn up the FETs for the servo.

A new RX board is $12. Where did you buy the heli? I have heard some people having good result getting Banggood to step up and take care of the issue.

Bought on hobbyking.com called FP100. I will just get the BNF version for 20.

They're cheap. If you need spare parts just buy a new one. Eventually you can combine broken ones into working ones, and it's not very expensive to do so.

Also, they come in four colors. You have to have at least two of each. And then a spare. Of each color. And then one to glue to your car. Because they're cheap.

saturday my 2yr old heli-fetcher (endless energy) ran up to my blue one and stepped firmly on the tail. i told him to slow down 100 times but you know kids. prop bent and fin gone. im wondering if that is just for looks or what. thank god for spare props.

Seems fine, expect for the part where you glue the heli to the car. Why ?

I've bought 4 RTF V911's and 5 BNF versions.

One RTF was DOA, and one BNF has a bad gyro.

The RTF I bought stateside so I sent it back. The bad BNF I will use for parts.

Still pretty impressed with these little heli's.

Post 8360 ... if something breaks ... take a new one (first there is a lot of stuff I dont have the skill to repair and second there is stuff where I think 20$ for a new heli is not worth the time and effort to repair a broken one ...

Plus, I am going to have to reduce the number of threads I am on, you are right ... (I think I'mgonna focus more on my blog again ...)

WL Toys has been tweaking the V911 with many changes throughout production since it first came out. If they might get into legal trouble for using a protocol they don't have permission to use, then they will change the V911 as a result.
