Me too, especially when I did not have that much open space. I had to avoid landing on top of cars, trees and over the fence....

I am still waiting for my spare flybars to see if we can exchange stability for wind handling.

" Heavy duty " and " super heavy duty " normally indicate that they are Zinc Carbon cells.
Zinc Carbon is old, inferior, and cheap chemistry now.
Buy some Alkalines (Duracell, Energiser, et al..) or Rechargeables for significant improvements.

If you fly into a 20 MPH wind, you better be able to fly at 20 MPH in no wind or you'll be going backwards.

The spear has less drag, so it's more likely to be able to fly 20MPH.
If the bowl could fly at 20MPH, it could certainly fly into a 20MPH wind.

For those of you who want to tame the cyclic further than possible with stock 'low rate'. Try flipping both mixer arms. With both flipped, I find that even on 'high rate' mode on tx, the cyclic span is less than 'low rate' without the mixer arms flipped. Admittedly, this is taking away one of the features that make the v911 so much fun (fast and responsive cyclic), but for flying in small spaces and/or landing practice, this is an easy and reversible way to dial down the cyclic. Also, the heli with this configuration is quieter and has less vibration, similar to a 9958.

Be advised your mileage may vary, I did this on another heli some time ago, and had major TBE, but that could be due to the linkages not broken in.

I had read on one of these pages that quality and performance can vary based on the color you choose. Has anybody found this to be true recently with the new design changes?

How did you manage to NOT see that? Anyways... They will fly the heli but flight time and performance won't be anything to write home about, is my guess. There's only so much a 120mAh battery can lift.

The dealer had a typo that I asked them to correct. It's in the V911 price/dealers/deals thread page 6, where 1 pc = 5 pcs. And like I said, even if they are 120 mAh, they're still a great value.

I buy cheap Aldi alkaline batteries, never duracell or something expensive as that, and they go on and on and on and on.
