My V911 has been experiencing some fairly strong intermittent glitching/shuddering from the elevator servo. It'll be flying normally and then suddenly start lurching forward or shuddering in the air. Likewise, I can often see the servo twitching like crazy when I insert a battery and move the cyclic stick forward or back, then it will settle down and behave normally for a while.

I've searched this thread, and the only solution I've found was one instance where someone heated the servo wire solder joint on the receiver, which apparently caused the solder to flow and close a poor connection, but I've had no luck with that fix.

Any ideas short of replacing the receiver board?

Kool. Could we have a better picture please? And, did you do any mod for canopy clearance?

On the msr I would clean the servo strip on the board with tuner cleaner.
Sounds like the pot in the servo needs cleaned sometimes this helps on standard servos.

Thanks, Hellysmack.

I'm not sure what the servo "strip" is. And, when you say the potentiometer in the servo needs cleaning, are you referring to something in or on the servo body, or a separate pot on the main board?

Sorry I'm not up on the anatomical lingo yet.

Anyone know if the nine eagles 260a motor is more powerful then the v911 motor and will it fit in the v911 plug and play?

Motor should be the same size. On club heli the 260a is 5.99 & bravo sx 7.50 I know for a fact the bravo sx is more powerful & direct fit. Not too sure about the 260a though. Someone mentioned they had great results with the helios 100 motor

My phone doesn't really take good close up pics, but here is another.

I did not mod the canopy, it rubs slightly but nothing negative I can feel while flying. On the furthest hole the elevator is VERY sensitive, You would need to fly it outside to really appreciate the fff

You can either solder the new motor on or cut the old wires & twist them together then use shrink wrap

Yeah that's the correct one. Seems quite a distance for shipping though.
