Hugues 300

Just finished this Hugues300 scale heli on a V911 body. Fly very well with exactly 1 inch less tail boom.

I'm under the impression that these are longer and won't fit my motor

If it is true, does anyone know where to get a tail motor that's
compatible with my heli?
And has anyone successfully run a more heat-tolerant tail motor in their V911? It
seems like the Solo Pro 260A tail motor would work but you'd have to
also switch the main motor to keep the copter from spinning?
I replaced my tail motor with this one

so far so good & clubheli.com has it cheaper

Thanks for the link R.sok.

I take it that you couldn't just put that motor in your stock V911 motor cradle? You had to use the NE tail boom and cradle?

Well, the v911 was a successful clone of the original Solo Pro 260.

Banggood just listed this, which appears to be a clone of the Solo Pro 270.

Wonder if it's improved over the original. One thing the v911 had going for it was the ability to bind to FlySky TX.

Hoping the same could make this one a winner?

I replaced the main motor in one of my V911 with a Helios100 motor. I didn't see any difference except the Helios motor is $1.50 cheaper (banggood)

After flying my helicopter , I am quite sure that the Helios100 main motor, however the exact same size, is more powerfull, by 20% to 30 % then the stock V911 motor. I have three other V911 and Y911 to compare. Could be a nice cheap upgrade to fly outdoor.

I made the canopy with the plastic from an empty gallon of bleach. I melted it on a plaster model I made. It was a lot of trial and error. I don't recommend that to anybody. I made few paperboard canopy too, not Hugues 300 yet, certainly easier to do. Also the frame was lowered and the tail angle was changed at the same time. The tail boom is aprox. 1 inch shorter, a straw was added. Fly well, a little bit more nervous.

It's the same size. At least the 260 versus the 270 were the same.

Look at the balance bar. The v911 has it on top. This one has it below the blade. The linkage goes from the swashplate up to the blade mixer, then back down to the flybar.

I actually went for that one because I didn't want the original v911 tail motor & I thought the NE tailboom would fit, but the tail boom of the NE is actually shorter & smaller. The motor however fits the original tail boom perfect!

If you aren't in the U.S. & want the best prices then banggood is where you could order to save a few bucks, but I went with that link because they ship from the U.S. so shipping time doesn't take forever.

I ordered on the 15th & it came on the 19th

Is there a main motor upgrade available ? I'm installing the CNC metal head kit but I heard the extra weight makes the heli less powerful.
