I learned them from Scott Stoop's book “The Pilot's Guide to Mastering Radio Control Flight” and from Bone Doc's 3D maneuver thread. Here is the link. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=904349 They are both excellent resources if you are learning how to fly 3D. I know the moves but it does not mean I know how the fly all of them, I will get there eventually though.

No problem. It is actually at the very top of the 3D Flying Forum. What I did was download all of the videos and keep them on my computer so when I am working on my moves in the sim I can click between the video and the sim.

Gee, I admire the ways you guys work at it...seriously...

Most of the time I'm just jamming the sticks this way & that, and trying to watch what happens...and hoping it's good

Hey guys as a piece of advice check your motor every flight by giving it a good tug. On my 2nd flight it appears the backplate the motor mount is attached to came loose because of lack of glue and when I throttled up the motor/prop started wobbling violently and ripped off the foam around the mount and plummeted to the ground. So basically I crashed now with no power system. the motor is beat up but might fly and I found most of the ripped off foam and I will try to make repairs and epoxy the whole front end back together. But obviously it won't fly like new. It looks like there was so very little glue on the back of the plate that when it came loose there was no way the foam was gonna hold it in. So please check yours cuz I'd hate for this to happen to any one else.

Same thing happened to mine on the first flight Once I fixed it I epoxied some strong bass wood all around in front of the motor mount area to strengthen the foam. Hasn't come loose since.

What kind of amps and watts is everyone getting stock? I think mine is terribly low. I am getting about 450 watts at 32-33 amps WOT. This seems low to me anyone else? I think I might change my prop before the maiden.

That does seem a little low. With a 20c 4s 2200 it gave me 39 amps and 582 watts.

That is what I thought. I am going to prop up when I get off work. I am going to slap an APC 14X7 on there and see what I can get out of her.

Post the results when if you do, I don't have a watt meter, just string and a fishing scale for guessing thrust.

I was wondering about pushing more power as my lipos barely come down warm and the motor isn't hot at all

I removed my cowl and motor this morning to get to the the plastic "back plate" so that I could remove it and add more epoxy and the darn thing wouldn't budge lol....I felt like I was going to tear the front off the plane!

I probably just weakened it just enough that it will now come loose during its flight. Stupid Darwin.

Alright so I put an APC 14X7 on there and I am basically getting similar numbers. I am wondering if my ESC is a dud. My numbers are a tiny bit better but not by much. I am afraid to maiden this thing now. I might have to change the ESC. Anyone else got any ideas?

Have you checked your timing yet? Double check your throttle %. Check your battery. That's all I got sorry Does it feel strong when you throttle up? Maybe your meter is a little messed up or mine is

Has anybody else run the numbers yet?
