If anything...prepare to sand. And sand. And sand. And sand. And sand. All the sanding will pay off in the end!

I just got in with my grey primer. Shook it up, took the cap off and...no nozzle! Now another trip back to the store.

OK, the hull has had resin applied to the outer surface. It dried overnight and then a light gray primer was applied. This was allowed to dry then sanded off. In the pics, you can see one side sanded and the other with the primer still on it.

I took the advice of the instructions and used a power sander on the hull. They suggested an orbital sander, I used a B&D Mouse. It worked great!

The other side will be sanded and the hull will ready for glass. Will be busy tomorrow & Saturday. Will probably be next Monday before I get a chance to work some more on it.

I'm afraid that the build will be put off indefinitely. We were in the middle of the tornadoes that hit Alabama this morning. We were told to take our valuable and evacuate the house. It's not safe to stay in.

All my boats and building materials are still in the basement. I'll need to find some place else to set up a shop. It'll be weeks before we're able to get back into a house of our own. I don't know if this house can be saved or we'll have to move to another.

I'll keep y'all informed.

Jared

We are still working on getting our stuff out. Servpro says trhe house is to unstable to go into. We've been in it the last 9 days. With all the rain, ceilings are getting wet and falling on our stuff. By the time this is over, we'll have nothing left

We have finally gotten all our stuff out of the house. We are waiting on the structural engineer to inspect the house for the insurance co. FEMA has already been out to inspect it. It's one of those things to hurry up and wait......

I did get my shop moved, it's in different boxes. Drawers taken and emptied into boxes. Going to be a mess to straighten out. Main thing is me and the Missus are OK.

Yep, as much as stuff like that sucks you can always look to that you and the other half are ok.
