Yeah, I figured as much. Full throttle for takeoff and a full speed pass here or there. I know not to push things too far. Becides, I can't afford full price on NEU's so I dont want to burn up the one I have ( thankyou BVM).

Hey Jim what motor would you recommend for a fan like this, the x-flight guys are recommending a 550kv?

That makes sense given that the DS-94-DIA HST as a 600KV motor in it. It also has 12 blades but from the pictures they look like they have a little less pitch.

X-flight has tested it to 5700 watts with no problems, but would like us to keep it at 5000 watts for safety reasons and recommended a 550kv. I just dont know of any 550kv motors that would work for this. What 600KV motor do they use in the DS-94-DIA HST?

The Hacker A50-10L Turnado would be perfect if the motor tube is big enough...

Its Sheublers own motor, no idea who makes it. NEU has motors in that range as well as Scorpion.

That would be perfect, but I bet that the shaft adapter will be a 8mm.

I agree with Mike, that Tornado could be perfect, if it fits.

The Turnado has an 8mm shaft already. The Heli version just has the end turned down to 6mm to fit Heli Pinions.

We already have full 8mm shafts for them - done a few Dynamax and Ramtec conversions with them with good success!

This is what the postman brought today. Its just like the 90 only bigger, and the shaft adapter is a little different. Total weight is 13oz, motor tube is 51mm in diameter, and the adapter is for 8mm motor shafts. I had hoped that my cc 160 would have been back by now, so if it does not come in the next few days I might order a DLX 160. The other question is going to be the motor, probably something in the 600kv range. If the motor and esc get resolved soon I might be able to fly it in my falcon 120 before the weather goes to crap.
