I'm considering an AXI 2820-10 motor for my Bandit. I have a 40 amp esc.

At this time, I'm using a Jeti 30-3 on 8 cells with a 12x9 prop. Climb is good but not vertical. The rpm/v is close with the AXI being 1100 and the Jeti 1200 according to P CAlC.

Will the AXI be a worthwhile improvement ?

You are right Al, the 30/3 is very slightly hotter than the 2820/10. The advantage of the 2820/10 is that it is lighter, lower cost, and spares are available.

Having flown both in the Filip 600 Sport (on 10 cells), I would say that if you are happy with the 30/3 in your Bandit, there is nothing to be gained from buying another motor - unless, of course, you would like to buy it from us

If you want an upgrade in performance look at the 30/3 on 10 cells (with a smaller prop) and then watch it go

Hi John, I was hoping you were still around. I do have some extra CP-1700 cells and do not see a problem with fitting a 10 cell pack in the Bandit. It's good to hear from you, and thank you for your words of experience.
