You realize there is a law of physics that states you will only have a good landing when nobody is watching and no camera is running. I've proven that law many times myself.

looking at the onboard video ive noticed that his hands look rubbish and dont look like theyre actually holding the Aframe,
think i thought too much about this and how to let the bar move smoothly not realising how little it has to move to get it to roll.

ive cut some foam hands off one of my rc bike riders and glued them on the Aframe and then just slipped his sleeves over the top which are a nice snug fit so shouldnt come off

should look abit more realistic now from onboard

ive put a bigger front wheel on the trike now so its the same size as the rear wheels,
it can now takeoff and land on grass without tipping which is a massive improvement and a lot of fun

was a lovely calm day today so made the most of it and did some adjustments to the hang point and steering arms,
it really flies the best it ever has done now and by moving the hangpoint backwards has really slowed it down,
ive got a big improvement in the climb rate aswell so overall im extremely happy with how its going!
now to take more measurements and put them in my little notebook haha!

the view as it was flying into the sunset made me kick myself for not having my camera with me

this weathers being really kind lately had another 6 flights today!

tried really thowing it around today and it responds to imputs really well and will get to huge bank angles with enough speed

tried some more power off glides too now ive shifted the hangpoint back and it glides lovely! really slow and controllable with a nice gradual decent

rc microlight test (1 min 49 sec)

Very nice flier! You've really got her dialed in. Any lower on that left turn and you'd have grass stains on the wingtip.

Lol! thanks marc
yeah i tried a few changes yesterday cus it was so calm and got it to fly better than before so im very happy!

got quite a few more ideas on how to make it fly and look better including a double surface to make the wing more efficient and so i can add colours to the underside of the wing,

also got an idea for a damper to calm the swinging of the trike,
my design uses springs on the steering arms which act as servo savers but mostly allow the trike to settle into its hang position and the wing to be able to trim at the angle of attack it needs to be at (determined by the hangpoint of the trike)
in turbulance or gusty winds the trike tends to swing around abit underneath the wing - as do the fullsize ones- a damper would be nice just to smooth it out abit and add to the realism

Looks great. Very scale like when filmed from the pilot's point of view. I bet you've got the only weight-shift trike on the flying field.

thanks, yeah the pilots view was my favourite
the other views were interesting to see what certain bits are doing when its flying and broke the footage up abit.

yeah everyone else has pretty much got radians and wot4's at the field lol.

ive ordered a hd bullet camera which will be alot lighter than my gopro and smaller so i can get more views,
one i want to get is from the crossbar/leading edge bracket facing back to the trike, its impossible with the gopro but doable with the bullet cam

hopefully be having a go on a tarmac runway soon so can do a few touch and go's, that grass is getting too long now.
