Question
How do you revive a Dead Li-po battery?

I recently have been trying to revive my Blade 120SR 500mah Li-Po packs by slowly (by that i mean 0.1A) charging them and then flying it until the LVC kicks in. It has made progress (At first, the heli would not even lift off the ground, now it will fly for about 20s before the LVC turns on.)

But I need a way to finish the revival process. Any ways you have managed to bring back some old dead Li-Po packs? Thanks!

You'll certainly never get their full performance or capacity back. Might get like half capacity if you're lucky, and their current-delivering ability will almost definitely have dropped by a whole lot.

As a point of curiosity and clarification, though, what do you mean by "dead"? There are a few ways to define it as it pertains to batteries (and lipos in particular).

Still, just buy some new packs. Don't waste your time and potentially create unnecessary lipo hazards...

by "dead" i mean they are not giving out any current. lol i guess though i do need to buy new ones.

From your first post, just buy new ones...especially @ 500mah, they are in the $4-$5 range

Flying to LVC is never that great for lipos in most cases. More often than not that tends to kill them in quick order.

Also, reviving dead lipos is definitely a bad idea.

It's not worth the RISK, sure, but when you get down to it the whole thing just isn't even worth the TIME.

Also, reviving dead lipos isn't a great idea. Don't do it.

Buy new ones.

Yes. Next time mention that in your post. It would help us help you better. Most guys including myself aren't going to do searches for your heli to find out what lipo size it uses.
