Jahel,

Congrats on the maiden. About the rotor, welcome to the club. The 1015 really heats up when pulling more that 3a. The net affect is the rotor coming off. The temps are going down up here in Virginia. I'll be pulling out my 1015 models soon.

Nice maiden flight! The last pass was about 40 mph. We really need to come up with a solution to prevent these press fit rotors from slipping off!

The battery in post 15 is a 2s, not a 3s. Is that the one you are going to use? On my 27mm jet I'm planning to use a similiar battery: 370mAh on 2s. That works just fine. I'll be following this one.

Jahel,

Do Not, I Repeat, Do Not go 3s with the 1015 in a 25mm or larger EDF. It will smoke the motor. You can play with it in a 22mm EDF, but do so at your own risk. Check NitroCharged's thread on 25mm testing. Specs are posted there. If you're not using an amp meter, get one. The 1015 is rated for 3a. Above that, it heats up quick.

Check out this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1377136.
