I happened to bought the same LPD8806 addressable led strip directly from a Chinese manufacturer, with much lower price than other suppliers. Now the strips are working very well, wonderful products, having fun with them.

The project looks very nice.
About the LPD8806 led strips, I happened to order some directly from a Chinese manufacturer, with much lower price than from USA. Now I'm having fun time with the strips too. I find them also make 52pixels/m LPD8806 led strip, and 60pixels/m ws2811 addressable led strips.
