Color Changing LEDs for QUAD
Saw your video. Getting a Quad and I have to have that light setup. Found the light strip for $35 from the manufacturer. What else do I need to buy (and do/or learn) to make mine look like your? Looks great. Thanks for any help, tips and ideas concerning best way to power it. Does it need some additional programing card? Thanks again, Larry Cogdell

Here's a thread I started in the Night Flying Forum. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1543900 Post 7 has some links and info.
Also, here's another thread I made over at Adafruit. http://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=24353 There you'll find my simple wiring diagram.
You'll need the light strips, an Arduino Pro Mini, a 5v UBEC, A 2s Lipo & the knowledge of how to upload and manipulate the code on the Arduino. It sounds harder than it really is... Here is Ladyada's tutorial on the strips. http://www.ladyada.net/products/digi...rip/index.html You're only concerned with the LPD8806 strips.
