Where to get Solartex with PayPal?
Excuse me Mr. Moderator if this isn't the proper forum for this question, but I figured the slope guys are using this stuff more than anyone right now, so.....
WHERE can I buy Solaretx ONLINE, using PAYPAL? You see, my PayPal account is my "fun" account, and the one account the wifey doesn't know about....  If anyone has a roll of yellow, drab, or dark blue, and you want to sell it, let me know. Thanks. |

Jack Cooper of leading edge gliders (leadingedgegliders.com) sells it and he has PayPal as his payment mechanism. He doesn't list it on his website but maybe you can e-mail him cause he is an official distributer.

's ok, Scott. I'm interested too. Once I get a small sailplane up for a friend's daughter and another repair project outta the way I think the 1-26 2m is next on the projects list although an M60 would be nice too.
 Maybe contact Steve Greenfield (stegre). He seems to have a good corner of the market on the stuff when I talked to him up at Temple. mw |

Scott, I only carry white due to the easy paintablilty. I can order any color and it would be to you in about 10 days. Just send me an e-mail (stegre@aol.com) in addition to your payment.

OK, now I'm curious. Does that include the "true yellow" flavor of Solartex too that was mentioned in this thread:

Check out these guys: http://www.flyhobbies.com/solartex.htm. I just ordered 3 rolls for my M60 and LEG ME109, so I guess I'll be seeing how their service is. They take every form of payment, including PayPal....

$20 for a roll of Solartex seems a bit pricey. I think $16 is about the going rate from the other suppliers.

OK, I KNOW this is going a tad off topic, but the issue was raised earlier in the thread and I can't think of a more knowlegeable group of individuals on this topic - and since there isn't a "wife issues with flying" forum here, I'll ask.
How do you use a Paypal account to, um, well, shall we say "channel" funds to certain plane related retailers without the CFO (aka wife) knowing about it? It just withdraws from your credit card or bank account - right? If she looks at those statements, it's pretty obvious. Or do you "fund" the paypal account directly? If so, how do you do that? Just send them cash in some way? Sending them an envelope with cash doesn't sound appealing. Paypal to your paypal account? I've looked on their site and can't quite figure this one out. matt (recently married yet educated enough to recognize the value in this info )

1.) First, set up a PayPal account at www.paypal.com
2.) Sell everything you can, accepting PayPal only (This will go directly into your PayPal account... 3.) You're done.... |

You NEED to link the acct to a valid cc or checking or savings acct. So, while you're at it, why not just sneak and set up the bank account, then the paypal...then the second wife in Idaho...then the "job" converting spies to US informants.....
