I see wahtcha mean about the Sparing use of Glue on the wooden structure.
I will Re-glue and possibly add some Triangle stock just to make sure.

One wing Holding mechanism is a bit tight and has to be fiddled with.
Yes I backed off the tightener quite a bit.

I think I'll just leave the Tube IN that side as the other wing slips in and out nicely.

Canopy attach seems to be plenty secure with just the two magnets.

I still gotta wonder why the servos are sticking up out of the wings in stead of on the bottom.

Guess I'll have to fly inverted.

NOT KEEN on the Yellow Paint job, although it will be more visible, which is what I was after.
It was spotty in some places but I suspect most blems are covered by the wild Black scheme.

I Like the wheel as opposed to the one that came on my Discus.
It totally shredded on the first aero tow and Landing.

This one seems much more sturdy.

Still, I am hoping for smooth landings or the attachment ply will be needing attention.

I have motorized and Aero Towed it.
I did MIX things for Crow which seems to help a bit.

This Pioneer won't be up for a few weeks or more.
I just got it to HAVE it before they disappear.

The Paint STUCK to the Cowel making it difficult to remove for fuse inspection.

Ok, I am glad to here you like it I did some more on mine today. I finished
the frame re-glued, painted and ready to install in the Airframe. I reinforced the Fire wall some.
I also added a small wheel to the Tail skid, and made the Tail removeable
with some very strong Magnets. I did order a spinner today, will let you know if it works?

I am going to add some backing plates to the control horns, as they do not have anyI would hate to see them come off in flight!! Bad news!!
Also installed some 2" wing tip skids to the wing tips! To keep the nice!

Love the idea of Servos on top of wing. No more strip servos gears when the horns gets hit by small rock, stick or trash while landing. Those servos should last forever unless you land inverted.

You got to tell me how those magnets works out for the tail. You will be surprised how much stress a tail have in flight. I did that for my Cularis once. It kept blowing off. On high blank turns you can see the tail bend to the side it is turning into and come off. I ended gluing it on. lucky I did no lose the bird.

In reguards to the Tail being removeable, it will also have some Carbon Fiber rods keeping it in place for sure!

Been getting a little frustrated by the lack of motor info.
Yeah OK 3635 1000kv but nobody give spacing on their mounts.

Joe what motor is it that you have there ?

BTW that 40mm spinner I have has a 3mm, not 3.12 or 4 or or or :-(

So far I have mine all together and the CG can be moved back to about 45mm with a 2650 3s as far back as possible in the battery bay. I get the feeling that this needs to have the CG just behind the spar? Am I wrong?

Will dial in lots of expo to make the wing less twitchy. The instructions if you can call them that are very lacking on the amount of up/down elevator. I am going to use 3/4" high and 5/8" on low rates. Will start with the same on the ailerons also. I am mixing about 50% into the rudder from the ailerons like on my Roswell.

If the weather here in the Great North Wet is good like today will try and maiden her. Wish me luck!

The instructions SAY ... 40mm +-2mm back from the LE.

That is WELL AHEAD OF THE SPAR !!!

It is just ahead of the Former which is behind the wheel.
The spar is back behind that former.

Flying Wings need a CG ahead/forward of CG's on Regular planes.

I would NOT even try fly mine with the CG behind the spar ! IMHO

But the wing has a forward sweep so that should be the right cg. When I tested I measured wrong and was tail heavy and that was no fun. If I remembered right the cg I had was 5mm in front of the wheel well
