The instructions online for all the Bambucopter frames say that epoxy should be used.

As soon as you epoxy the parts together it will be nice and rigid. I would use hot glue instead though, so you can take it apart if anything breaks in a crash. And yes I had some issues assembling the tail too, I thought I would break it! But it eventually snapped into place.

Haha oh yes, I was working from the bottom up on my Y6 and had the little nuts right at the bottom.
It took me a while to figure out you had to work towards the middle from both sides, quite smart really.

With the tricopter im not so sure to be honest, the triangle in the middle has a bit of a swashplate tilting action going on this way.
And im not sure if this would go away with a few tierips, since theid only hold the arms tight, not the base.
Maybe the giant paperclips hold the secret, since there happens to be 3 of them?

Hotglue wont melt polycarb? I thought it was near the same melting point?
Would make the frame a little ugly though I guess.

The paperclips are for making your own yaw mechanism. Don't miss this: The triangular top plate has one side which is slightly thinner. This should point forward if you want the tri to look nice and symmetrical. I missed this and can't turn this part now that's it's been glued into place, book!

Haha, OCD gland overdrive right there!
I also noticed this after putting it on the tri and it sent my symmetry madness haywire,
so I picked it back out and put it in right. luckily no glue was used yet at this point.

And theres a way of making a yaw mechanism that takes up three entire paperclips?
Or has Erman so little confidence in me that he predicted some major frekups on my part?

Try it on one of the spare pieces or something first. I don't see why it shouldn't work.

Just received my miniquad!

Name: quad_prebuild.jpg
Views: 77
Size: 162.6 KB
Description:

Showing the rough setup of my first quad. I notice the esc wire (to motor side) is very long, did you guys cut it to be shorter?

Also, I order the 3blade prop and realize one thing: the prop saver seems only to be used only for 2 blade? Just my observation based on the symmetry look, is prop adapter a better idea?

I'm folding long cable bottom of the ESC.
Don't forget protective layer onthe surface

So, I might get a Y6 before the end of the summer/fall. Proper landing gear is a must. Does anyone know where I can find landing gear that works with this little thing?

Hi, I have a bambu tricopter and got everything sorted to the point of tuning the giros. I had 6 or 7 arms and short hover before tweaking giros and trying again.

Now I get nothing apart from a quick flash of the kk board led when I try to arm it.
What are suggested settings for giros on this tri and how to get it to arm again or is it time to return a faulty board?

Vid uploaded if anyone can help
FAULTY KK BOARD? NO LONGER ARMS (0 min 46 sec)

edit - If I do the esc calibration then all motors move together perfectly. When I turn off and restart with the pot back at 50% I get nothing.

I don't even get any esc beeps unless in the calibration mode. I still have throws at 100% no dual rates, no expo. Same settings from when I could arm it.

Thanks
