I was hovering around for 12min and voltage was down to 10,1V on a 3s2200 so there is much more.

I just got my #18 keycam!!! LIVE TV OUT!!!! GREAT. Thats the best for FPV on micros I guess.

I got it from here and it took just 7 days!

TV out works great and with the 200mw 5.8 from GLB its a really good deal

How much throttle is needed to hover with the camera on?

I was planning on hooking up a simple volt OSD and a 200mw 5.8ghz vTX to fly it around with my goggles,
But im starting to think id be better off with a simple CCD cam or something, if I want to obtain that 10 minute mark.
Unless of course this bugger can lift a 2600 pack or something to hit it, that would be fine too.

just prepare yourself for a big (small) puzzle. Its a big deal to put everything in place :-) When I got it the size was just to small. But I decided to build it anyway as I am hooked to building those things now. searchspider from switzerland bought it from me and made the outdoor video.

Oh yes, these copters take me back all the way to my mecano/constructorset days.
Ah yes, having an excuse to be a child again, its great isnt it?

And hey hey hey, damnit, stop waving shiny things infront of me, you guys are costing me too much already!
Question about the cam though, what size is the lens? Its not close to 6mm like all the other keychain cams are right?
Because that would seriously crush it being a dream cam for small copters.

Hmm I will try to fix the #18 parallel to my gopro2. its a little bit wider than the 6mm from the #16 but not really much.

How did you attach a wide angle lens to it? Using the tictac box trick?
Still looks a little narrow to be honest, nowhere near the 100' FOV I have on my quad and airplanes.

Would that let you bully a standard M12 sized 1.8'F lens on there?
Because then things start getting sexy for that keychain camera and small copters.

that I'm not sure i don't have one to test, but i rather fine with the wide angle lens even if the FOV is not that great, I'll be converting the camera to be my FPV cam

here with wide angle lens

So here I sit with a big brown bag from turkey.
After having recovered from the horrors of picking bits of what seemed like burned plastic from it,
I had great pleasure from remembering the foil and peeling it off, uncovering the pretty shiny plexiglass.
I must say, pretty decent bit of kit for the money!

Though there's one thing that made me laugh, and thats the bag of various bits and some giant paperclips.
Looks like im building a tricopter MacGuyver style!

The tricopters construction has me a bit puzzled to be honest,
im sure theres some great trick to it, but how do you assemble the tail bit?
Theres a hook on both ends, but seemingly not enough flex to get both ends around the main plate.

The tricopter has me a little boggled.
It was like one of those brain puzzles that only fits together in one very specific way.
Finally managed to get it all hook-and-looped together, but now I wonder if its supposed to be this "loose".
Im pretty sure I should stay the hell away from polycarb with cyano acrylate glues, so im wondering how else can it be made structurally sound.
I noticed these holes going all over the frame, and im guessing this thing is supposed to go together using tierips?
I'm sure there's an online manual to these things that Ive missed, making me seem ignorant,
but I thought id ask before doing anything stupid.

I cant helpU with the tricopter, only know the Y6 but my Y6 also seemed loose even I had many screws which screwd my brain up too. Thats why I had to reduce PITCH/ROLL PID.

the little wholes are for tiretips. Right. I would use some superglue or so. Maybe widelec can enlighten us here :-)
