Careful!
Dji wk-m flip of death crash

Yep this is my second crash.
The first one I thought was down to x2 x3 fault. But it shows it was not the caused.
As I changed radio to futaba fx30 s-bus turn off x2 x3 and unplug the cable. Update to new firmware

As before I flown for 10 mins with one lipo full throttle an full forward was ok. Then connect a new lipo different from the one in first crash.

Same scenario lift off in alti, flick gps one ( craft had full gps locked) full throttle and full forward. The craft flip on the right then regain balance then flipped again and crash. Stick movement had no control.
Broke 2 motor mount lost 3 props dent 2 arms.

Seems to have bug with full throttle and forward in gps mode.

I would like some input about this

I guess my question is why use GPS mode to fly full throttle/full forward. I can understand ATTI but ATTI and GPS??? I have numerous flights on two different frames and never had the problems that you have experience. Sorry for the crash, I hope you get it figured out and let the rest of us know.

I now think the flip was down to the the gaui motors and esc. I did some new test and all is fine with hobby wing 20amp esc and Axi motors.

Yeah, you'll be better off with hobbywing escs. Gaui's probably uses some proprietory firmware.

10 amp Gaui ESC?
Assuming your motor is rated for at Watts, running on 3S will require 150/11.1 = 13.5 amp. I won't use anything less than 18A ESC (minimum).

from the looks of the motors, he is using gaui's scorpions for 330xs and they do come with 10a Gaui escs and the props look like 10" gaui. These are the default setup in 330xs that works fine with 3s lipo assuming his AUW is still within reason.

Looks like esc related problem to me.

Stock Gaui 330 esc can only (barely) handle 8 inch props, not 10.

The newer esc, which are the stock ones for 330XS can handle 10" props. Tried it myself with stock gaui setup in extended frame and 3s. Here's official gaui's video, jump to 35' onward. Again, I still think WKM doesn't like gaui's escs very much. And yeah, 10amp is not to be used for more serious application.

Hey Octo, nice user name.
I was running stock gaui 8.45 props
The gaui 10 amp esc works with the hobbywing programming card ( they could be some knock off hw esc)
Am now getting 15mins fly time using 10.45 props moved up from 10mins with the guai setup.

Ill leave the thread head line as it is, sooner or later there will be some one with the same scenario, by googleing and reading finds the solution.
After a year or so I think all none active threads auto locked on RCG.

Because of the 10a ESC which is marginal to begin caused the DEATH crash; the title remains unchanged.

And, this is the reason .... while Gaui 10A being maxed out can be found here. Good logic.
