Help!
Need help with my quadcopter

My setup is the following:

- HobbyKing Quadcopter Control Board V1 in the "+" configuration. No Firmware updates.
- All gains at 50%. Everything calibrated like in the manual.
- 2210N 1000Kv Brushless Motor
- Hobbyking SS Series 18-20A ESC
- 10x6 or 9x5 props
- HK quadcopter frame
- 3s 2200 Lipo.

I used following manual to calibrate my quad: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...7X86875X32.pdf

1. My first problem is that the motors dont start at the same time. If I increase the throttle they all start at different throttle level. Could throttle range calibration be the problem? Or is it ok? (see second question)

2. Under step 2 in the manual we have "Calibrating the throttle range on the ESC’s" where it says:

- ...
- Move the throttle stick to top (full)
- Turn on the flight-controller
- Wait until the ESC's beeps twice after the initial beeps. (Plush and SS ESC's)
- Swiftly move the throttle stick fully down (closed). The ESC’s beeps

But I dont get two beeps only. What I get is following: "beep beep, pause, beep beep beep, pause" and then it goes all over again. After I move the throttle stick fully down the ESC's beeps only 1 time like it should. So how do I know the calibration was successful? I get different beep pattern and I am not sure I have it calibrated successfully.

3. If I try to take off the quad wants to tip over no matter the trim. Throttle range calibration faulty? (causing the motors to spin at different rates?)

4. What props should I use? 10x6 or 9x5 props for 2210N 1000Kv Brushless Motor?

5. Do I have to loctite the screws in the propsaver? My propsaver is from aluminium.

Throttle range calibration problem (2 min 51 sec)

Right now my face is looking like all of those together:

Hope for your help

http://www.kkmulticopter.kr/index.html?modea=manual

ho here and complete steps
-
Setting up the kkMultiCopter controller

1. Setting transmitter channels
2. Stick Centering
3. ESC throttle calibration and Battery type
4. Gyro(Servo) direction reversing (Optional)
5. Clear all settings [servo & stick centering] (Optional)
6. Setting Gyro gain
7. Setting flying mode by Transmitter

1. Setting transmitter channels

CHANNEL Aileron Elevator Throttle Rudder
JR/SPEKTRUM REVERSE REVERSE NORMAL REVERSE
FUTABA NORMAL NORMAL REVERSE NORMAL
HITEC NORMAL REVERSE NORMAL NORMAL
Others - - - -
- Make sure you do not have any mixing switches on your Transmitter enabled.

2. Stick Centering

Now we offer two ways to do "Stick Centering".

The First is using Transmitter which is similar to Setting flying mode.
As following the picture on "7. Setting flying mode by Transmitter", Stick Centering becomes very Simple.
This is same way to set the Flycam NaviBoard.
(1) During Throttle Stick is down position, Down the Elevator Stick for 3 seconds.
(2) Then Led lights will keep blinking.
(3) Release all sticks. then led will stop blinking.
(4) Now Processing Stick Centering. plz just keep position of all Sticks.
(5) After complete "Stick Centering" , The Led will Blink once.
All procedure is finished.

The Second is using gain port.

We provide convenient method to set multicopter.
Your current stick position can be center by following next steps except throttle.

- Set Pitch gain pot to zero. (CCW)

- Set Transmitter trims to center.
- Power on.
- LED flashes 3 times.(Ready)
- Check a receiver power.
- Wait a few seconds.
- LED flashes 1 time.
- Power off.
- Restore Pitch gain pot.

3. ESC throttle calibration and Battery type

Take off the propellers.
Calibrate throttle range.
Set to NiCd battery.(Do not set to Li-po.)
Please refer to the manual of ESC.

- Set Yaw gain pot to zero.

- Put throttle stick to full.
- Power on.
- LED flashes 3 times.(Ready)
- Check a receiver power.
- Wait a few seconds.(In this state, ignore the beeping.)
- LED flashes 3 times.(Start)[Supported in v1.6 or later]
- Wait for motor signal.(Please refer to the manual of ESC.)
- Throttle to zero.
- Wait for motor confirm signal.
- Power off.
- Restore Yaw gain pot.

-

try again.... i never use loctite if possible, but i use red myself if i have to. like set screws for sure.

Same problem...

Hi everybody,

I've recently bought a Quadcopter with a KKmulticopter V5.5 (xcopter v2.9) and I have exactly the same problem.

Did you find a solution?

Thanks
