I think I'm okay... I used some small self-tapping screws and cut the ends off them so they don't stick out. Once they were mounted, I painted 'em black. You can't see them, as far as I can tell. But thanks.

Didn't get to the shop tonight; gonna try to get out there tomorrow night. I plan to mount the missiles. I figured it would be easier to mount and adjust them before the mechanics are installed. If that goes well, I'll mount the rear strobe light also.

More done today. I mounted some of the windows, installed the strobe light, and painted some of the epoxy. When I mounted the windows, I tried using RC-56 canopy glue.... the curvature of the plastic along with the tape NOT sticking to the fiberglass meant that RC-56 wasn't gonna work. I sanded the edges of the windows down and used medium CA. That did the trick. The first ones I did were ugly (from the inside) as I used way too much CA. I realized I can tack the window down with 6-7 drops of CA at various points along the perimeter, and that should be plenty strong. It's not a load-bearing part so it should hold. I realize vibration may become an issue down the road but I'll worry about that if/when the time comes.

I think I'm finally ready to mount the mechanics, and hope to do that tomorrow.

Got a little bit done today. I worked from home and work was busy so I didn't get much done. Tomorrow is a vacation day, the Blackberry and laptop are both turned off, so I plan to get a lot done.

I got more work done today. I finally got the mechanics mounted, but it required a lot of steps to get that far. Plus, I have to pull them out - again - because I missed a step in the well-written instructions. I had enough for one day, and will continue tomorrow.

I worked on the heli all day today. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's NOT a train! I should have it complete in the next day or so, barring any unforseen circumstances. Pics from today's progress are below. Enjoy!

Thanks! It's almost done... hope to put the test hover on it tomorrow.

Finished it up today, and put a couple of test-hovers on it. It flies!! Here are the rest of the build pics, and I'll have a video uploaded soon.

Thanks Jose! I'm very proud of it. I've got a couple of housekeeping things to do... I'm going to remove the KBDD paddles and reinstall the stock Align paddles... that should help reduce the cyclic response. I also have to install the exhaust pipe. I don't have much hope for the plastic thing that came with the fuselage so I think I'll have to fabricate something. It should be simple enough to do with toilet paper rolls or something similar.

Great videos... it did look like at 85 it might have been a bit much... your middle flight look fantastic.. it could have been the wind though....
