Thanks set the CG at 45mm,

Took 15grams of lead halfway down the tail boom to balance out the big mega in the nose. Highly recommend sticking some tape on the battery to help remove it, took half an hour to get the pack out with the tape

Stratair 2.4 shark fin installed and the Mini Monster is ready to maiden

Yeh I think so, 200mph is going to be smashed on the maiden (I hope haha!)

How fast a reading I can get off it is going to depend massively on how much of a straight line I can see it for!

Roll on Ampfest 2012.

The weight is 750-800gr...
When i launch it ..100% of throttle and little mix to right aileron on a switch after 1 sec i switch of mix...very good system for me.
I not think that 800gr this pylon fly very easy...cool landing and launch.
I must put a cover to the servo arm..are a brake!!!!
After i increse 10km h....

Im thinking, depending on the altitude your fly at, you'd probably go faster with a 4.7x4.7. 5.2x5.2 is a pretty big load on 5S for it.

My ones AUW is 874g, will be bungee launched and I dunno how im gonna land it yet Will work that out when we come to it.

With 50k rpm and 5.5" of pitch, statically it makes a lot of noise and naff all thrust

Flight report -

Bungee launch went fine (as all bungee launches do )

Its noticeably faster than the stiletto, and actually flies better too with this setup too, no nasty tip stall, didnt feel like it was going to bite at any point. VERY fast in a turn too. Landing was a non event, ran out of elevator throw though.

Poor neu 5S pack got a bit of a hammering, forgot to set the low voltage alarm on the A9. Going to need to get some more packs as this thing is going to kill lipos

In flight the throws were too big, was twitchy as . A throw tweak and dual rates for landing are needed. Had a small amount of up trim for level flight, but my CG is quite far forward too. Tracked power on/power off perfectly, not noticeable ballooning at speed either.

The dopler cam recorded 2 passes at 327 kmh and the passes were rubbish wobbly things with naff all run up! Recorded one pass with a nasty wind roar in the middle that was high 340's but its too messy to confirm

202mph on the maiden would count as succesful then Looking forward to pushing it harder once its dialled in a bit better, expect much higher numbers

Ill have a look and see if hat cam recorded anything veiwable

my congratulation for this result!

here you can find one more building report.

thisone will be powered by 10S 2650 with about 140Amps and a rewinded and in front mounted kontronik pyro 650 outrunner - the same type, as aliasjack used in his 450+ km/h flights with the bigger fluxcompensator

prop will be the 7x13 folder.
may be, it will be good enough for >400km/h also.

Indeed, was good to see, awesome turn speeds, didn't seem to scrub off too much speed through the turns either. Congrats with the speed, was definately eating the sky up pretty quick.

That looks nice, like new open weave version.

The Lp1.1 is the small one, 960mm wingspan. 5S 2100 is about the largest battery that fits
