Hey Alex. Thanks for tuning the JW for me! Yeah that gorse is deep, half the time I couldn't even see you & Peter from that point behind the slope. Real bummer... Do you think it might be worthwhile trying to spot the Windburner with an RC chopper with a streaming video cam? Do you have access to such a machine? I have a chainsaw if you want to hack the gorse..

I have been brainstorming ideas with guys at work this last week. I think a Machete is the best option. Definitely need to chop the gorse down some way. The other option is to use planks to sit on top of the gorse.

You will not see it unless you come right apon it. It would be at the bottom of the gorse.

I am keen to have another go, I think half a dozen people would make sure it was found

I wouldn't walk the plank, Alex.
The men who were forced to do it ages ago at least fell into water.....

Go machete & there'll be less of the evil stuff to contend with next time.

Good luck, plane far too good not to have.
(And don't we need a Windburner speed from a U.S. DS site?)

Just a plug here for telemetry. If you fly over areas where it may be difficult to find a downed plane, telemetry will almost always find it for you. This exactly the reason I switched. Have not lost a glider since. Hope you find it.
Cheers...

Give me a shout next time you head up then, and I'll bring the chainsaw. Powertools always win. Just not this Saturday. B*gg*r, looks like it's going to be a good DS day, have an old mate visiting for the day who won't appreciate being dragged up the hills... When do you head for the 'States?

I don't think I'll get a chance to go look for it or go DSing before heading to the US. Have a lot of work to do.

Will go look for it at some stage, just really don't want to get stuck in there again

Cheers Kev for the new Burner!!!!!!!!! Will send payment tomorrow as I should have the money for my 3m by then

If it had a good range and sensitivity. Both probably not feasible

You need a plane sniffer dog! Just teach him to smell carbon and glass and youll be sweet!

Sunday session

We had a good DS session today, location was the windfarm, wind was light and off the hill at the front a little which made it hard to get some height so no heavy machines. stefans first day at DSing and he is getting there. The highlight of the day was Garath DSing his Gentle Lady, looked great we were all waiting for the spar to give way but it hung in there, should be some good video. Light foamies were the go with some multi 3 up in the circuit, looked like stock cars. The Zipper did well but shame i could not run it with the ballast.

Hey, here is a little clip to go with Dave's report. She handled pretty nicely over the back. Considering its a RE glider
will it DS?
