Hi everyone some images of the covering process thus far using Solite for the balsa areas and Plastikote silver acrylic for the plastic parts the high gloss of the Solite contrasts nicely with the acrylic paint, which dries with a semi matt finish the black lining is done using a 0.5pt permanent black marker and although it takes time, I think it's worth the effort nearly there!

She looks fabulous, Charles. Those props look quite nice, who makes them? Do you have an idea of your AUW yet?

Charles,
That is the prettiest Gillows kit ever! Well, Arcarius's Dr1 is right up there too. Seriously, it is just beautiful.

Hi to everyone who has been following this build at last the B17 is ready for it's maiden flight, this will be made by my brother on his return from Santa Barbara later this week AUW including the Lipo is 28oz after the maiden (hopefully successfull I will complete the detailing, guns etc. Based on Aluminium Overcast, the decals not included in the kit were made up using Adobe Illustrator and printed using waterproof ink on a self adhesive polyester substrate

Charles, that is one incredibly handsome model. Beautifully finished and if she flies as well as she looks ( which I have no doubts about), then you have a model to be rightfully proud of. Well done!

If there was ever an airplane to make me decide to convert to 'electric' this would be the ONE! What a beautiful model! I hope it flies to your expectations! Cheers.
