Ok I have one of these otw and I figure I should ask for some expert advice as this is my first high power setup.

I plan to use;
Stock air retracts and struts
SM89 & HET 700-68-1125Kv
CC Ice2 120HV
700mah A123 reciever pack

First on EJF they recommend their HET-DS-002MG are these enough servo for a high power set up? Or I have have some HS-82MG that I had for another project would these work? Or should I get digitals like the HS-5085MG or the Hyperions listed earlier? Or?

Next from what I have read on 10s this setup should be pushing 4000w at around 108amps. Will the CC120HV be enough or should I go with a 160 for a little more headroom?

Lastly I have these battery setups available to play with any thoughts as to the best setup? It appears from earlier discussion that any of these combo's should fit.

8s-2x4S 5000 Nano Tech 45-90c=41.25oz
8S-2x4S 5800 Zippy 30c=40oz

10s-1x4S+1x6S 5000 Nano Tech 45-90c=49.3oz
10s-1x4S+1x6S 5800 Zippy 30c=49.5oz

Thanks in advance,
Casey

Hi, I can help with the SM89-45 setup If you use the ICE120 it works great with a 10s setup but you have to get air over the ESC. I put it into the inlet or the trust tube. Before i did that my ESC would get up to 170 degrees moved it and Never got over 110 P.S. Try to stay away from the ICE160 for now!!

Those were for the HET L-39.
The Sniper's retract set is conventional.

The JTM struts are large and heavy, Dunno if they will even fit in the wells. Will try and have a look tonight as I need to measure the wheel wells anyway.

Yeah... the retract bays are a little slim. Nothing taller than about 24mm will fit.

We are actively working on an all-electric solution guys... unfortunately, that's about all I can say for now. Sorry!

The Tam struts were made for the JTM Hawk ans L-39. So if they fit so should the JTM struts. But it looks like the ver.2 JTM retracts are a bit big for it.

Nope the JTM kits have big open wheel bays, the Sniper is molded glass bays and the JTM struts snag in a couple of spots. They are also heavier than the HET struts and use 4mm pins so cannot be used with the HET retracts.

@ HeliClown:
The HET struts have 2 inch wheels on them, but the wheel wells will take 2.25" wheels, I will swap mine out to this size for the mains and see if I can run one of the 2" on the front leg.

My Sniper is still largely in the box I have a Komet to finish for a customer, the vampire to do, then the Sniper. Just too many things on, need to do some painting round the house too LOL.
