I guess my question to you would be; an 8s setup?

Just as a heads up, you will have to go higher than the 1485kv setup I'm currently running, and you'll be pulling some massive current (at least 100amps) on the HET 9305V2. I'm sure the bird would fly just fine on the 1485kv with 8s (I've flown the L-39 on 8s, which is draggier), but you will be much happier with the performance on 10s or 12s. Just my opinion.

What do you guys think about using the same E-Flite retracts (15-25 Size) that the Habu 32 is using ?
I think that the Habu is about the same weight as the Sniper XL ?
If i am not wrong the 15-25 size retracts seems to hold up quite good in the Habu 32.

Those retracts will not be up to the task.
The Habu 32 (40.5" WS) is actually quite a bit smaller than the Sniper XL 90 (53" WS).
That, and the XL90 has some pretty long legs and it should weigh in around 8.5-10lbs.
You'd be better off using the 60-120 size... I use them in the HET L-39 with great success.

I agree.. I use the 120's in my JTM Viper jet and in my Falcon 120 with a K-80 on it. I will have some new lifetime warranty trunions for the .60-1.20 retracts real soon for sale The trunion is the week link on them...Thanks Billy D

What about the 25 - 46 , would they not save some weight? But they need new trunions too I have heard.

Tam Had some trunions made for the .25-.46... Or just do the stock 120 and you will be fine with a 10 to 12lb plane...

Agreed.
Just stick with the 60-120 size and you'll never look back.
They bolt right in place, the stock struts are plenty beefy, and I can vouch they work really well in these larger HET jets.

A little later than I expected.

We were slated for delivery mid-January (about now), but I received word from the factory that they are taking a little longer with a new process (quality related) than anticipated. However, the good news is that they are actively making sure that you, the customer, will get a solid product for your hard earned bucks!

I'm waiting for a "production version" myself, so I'm anxious right up there with you guys! Word on the street is that they're shooting for February... not much longer now, and definitely not as long a wait as the fabled Horizon F-4!!!

Cheers,
Vic

Yup Feb was the last update I got too, fingers crossed they can make it but it might be delayed what with an extended holiday starting next week in China and going for the rest of the month...

I'll be sure to snag plenty of pics and video to help tide you guys over
