Doesn't work so well from an iPhone, at least not right now that I really don't want to try to figure it out. How are your snipers holding up? Any wear and tear to speak of?

Haven't maidened my newest one yet, but they fly great!

I might have a chance to go out tomorrow. We'll see if the cards are dealt in my favor on my day off...

Thank you, the struts are a bit of work, but once you do a few sets, it gets easier. I just never make tooling fixtures, figuring I'll never need them again. Trying to remember setups is the hardest part. Which shims go where etc. I do all of the machining on a small lathe, so the lack of a z-axis makes it interesting. I really need a small CNC, but the new wife won't bite on that one.

I have made quite a few struts that never flew. I just can't seem to get them right for some reason. I have a 50 year old lathe and a old mill, a lot of fun. I have a set of Tams struts, I can't get close. I sure need a set for my XL, so if you decide to sell a set I would like to get in line. I'm not sure if Tam makes them.

I've been married for close to 20 years, can't get her to bite anything, never have.....never will. But you got to keep trying!

Tam has the struts, $130. I can't ever wait for the shipping on anything so I just start making stuff myself. I'll see if I can get another set together here soon. Only problem is no two sets are the same, but they fit anyways.

I'm doing control rods for the elevators from the fan area like the Habu 32. Fan will sit further back and I've got some extra supports for the Ele. Hopefully CG won't be too elusive.

I wouldn't go too far with the fan, I had to shove everything I could into the nose just to make 4". Even at that ill stick some lead in there for the maiden flight to get at least 3 3/4". Our field is bumpy grass and I have found that the jet getting tossed into the air a bit early and with an aft cg isnt fun. Ill move the cg back once it's in trim and after having a better idea of what to expect on liftoff.

The new vert stab is uber heavy. And I'm using a DS16 Hyperion on a push pull for the rudder...So I moved ele servos and am making it so fan has about 1.5" of play forward or back. Hoping for some luck.

I am getting close with mine. One thing that bothers me is the vertical fin. Seems like there is a lot of flex from it down the fuselage. Is this normal? Did I miss something? It sure looks like it will flex in knife edge.

I may try to build a bulk head and try to stiffen it up.

A bulkhead from something even like lite ply will make a huge improvement in that flex. I made one on my last smaller Sniper 90. It made all the difference.
