Awesome, great job!! Perfect song for it! I know guys hate music with EDF's but as long as you can hear the fan a bit, I think it really adds something. What software are you using. I would like to get that.

Thanks!

Brian

AND I just got some new video editing software... it kicks butt, so I decided to re-visit the footage from AZ Jets and make a new version of the Sniper XL90 video. Check it out!

Brian,
Thanks! I like using music when it fits well... but yes, I try not to drown out the subject when possible.

I'm using Pinnacle 15 Studio Ultimate HD. Got a sweet deal on cyber monday for it. I've only just scratched the surface of it's capabilities! Worth every penny.

Thanks Vic! I had a couple versions of Pinnacle. Very user freindly. Started to go downhill though, so glad to see it got better again.

Thanks!

Same story here, lol!!!
It's more than good enough for what I do with it, and genuinely a powerful program. Highly recommended for anybody serious about amateur video editing.

LOL VIC!!!!

Guess what?

I was looking for another Video Editing Software as well and bought as well on Cyber Monday and purchased the Avid Pinnacle Studio HD 15 Ultimate with a full Addon Package as well.

And right now? It is by far the most easiest to use and powerful video editing software I came ever across!!!

I would never wanna look back! Sexy Video! Sexy Jet! Me want!

Do we have yet any Servo Recommendations for this Sniper XL which is not going to cost the world?
You said you are using Hyperion Servos..I never used them before but I swear on Hyperion Batteries for Power and Performance.

Any chance you may could list your choice of servos to what you use for what control surface?

I hope you guys have provided HET with some attractive color schemes for us to choose from.

Most of the Models have boring Color Schemes which in my Opinion looks silly, not pin pointing to any model yet, but I would really like some Metallic Look such as it is on the Habu32, adds a nice Quality touch to it if you ask me.

A Metallic Blue-Black Setup would be nice

NS.

Lol thanks guys,

To answer the Retract question:
The prototype is using HET's new Spring-Air retracts w/ their Suspension Trailing Link Struts.
When the production models get in, I will be building another one w/ E-Flite 60-120 Electric Retracts.

As for the Servo question:
I use Hyperion Servos almost exclusively for my Jet models. They work phenomenal (speed, strength, centering, programmability, etc.) and still don't cost an arm and/or leg!!!

The Sniper XL90 uses the following Hyperion Atlas Digital Servos---
DS-13TMB qty. 6, for Ailerons, Flaps, Rudder, and Nose Steering
DS-16FMD qty. 1, for Elevator
and qty. 1, Hitech HS-65HB for the Air Retract Valve.

I'm sure we'll see some nice color schemes coming out from the factory... and worst case scenario, if you want a totally custom scheme (like I'm doing), I think they'll be offering a "Primer Only" version.

Merry Christmas Guys....
Going to be away from a computer for a while and just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Looking forward to next year, I talked to Santa (My wife) and got the green light for the new XL just as soon as it's released
Take care all.....

We are patiently waiting on initial shipment of kits.

The thread is not dead, but I have no official news to report except that the Sniper XL90 Prototype has seen many flights now and is holding up very well! I'm excited to see what the color schemes will look like, and can't wait to get my own Sniper in all Primer (for a custom paint job!)
