Thanks Rich, our goal for a while was to try to bring young
people into the club, because some of our members
are older and they don't build anymore. With that said
we do have a nice club with some talented members.

The 3rd picture is the Concord on a Barge.

South Street Sea Port

They don't sponser shows anymore, we think it's because
of their budget. They used to pay for the show , and we
use to get breakfast ,lunch and parking . They use to
have 2-3 clubs participating. They had a pool set up next
to the pier so that members with small boats could run them.
It was a 2 day event.

I totally agree with you & I would like to join you all in the future.

By chance did you guys have a website a few years ago and sail out of Central Park?

I remember an Empire State website a long time ago based at the park but the site either changed or faded away.

-Rich.

We were never based in Central Park. I am a member now for
12 years and we never ran there. Some members might have
gone there. Our website went down about
6 months ago because the member who ran it passed away.
That is why i started this and if you decided to join a club
check us out. Paul

Hi Band1. I've been going to Bowne Park for decades. I used to get meeting updates from you guys for certain Fridays on 17th Ave I think? Yahoo Model Boaters Group? Let me know if I'm wrong. Anyway, I run my Midwest Seguin, Bristol Bay, and DF26 Speedboat there. I also intend to run my Dumas Lord Nelson Victory Yacht there very soon (pool tested). The fountains sure were low-to-off this past season, right? Beautiful work you've done there, by the way.

I noticed some of the pictures were not at Bowne. Where else do you sail?

Hi, yes that use to be our meeting place 166 st and 17 ave we now meet
off Bell Blvd . That site on yahoo is still active and i can't shut it down.
don't go by that anymore.
Yes the fountains were very low but since last year the city has treated the water and it's been clean. How is it that we have never met or have we?
Did anybody from the club ever toak to you? Do you know any of the members?
Some of the pictures are from a pond in L.I from years ago.
Let me know if you would like to check out our meetings.

The tug in the back was my first scratched built tug .
Unfortunately the hull was planked with balsa and after
five years of running it , the balsa disintegrated and the hull
fell apart.
Did this ever happened to anybody?
