HobbyKing Durafly Edge 540

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...90mm_PNF_.html

This looks promising but similair to extra 300 from hobbyking.
They both seem to weigh aroung the same (70-80g), using the AP05 2cell brushless motor and 1.7g analog servos. What do u guys think?

Sorry to correct you; the other plane is a Micro Slick 360 and the servos are 1.7g digital for both planes.

Here is a video of the Micro Edge 540 v3, mind to you it is extremely windy that day, I will be doing another video of it soon to show the full capability.

I just ordered this too. I didn't receive a buddy code for it though for some reason. I've been waiting for a micro 540 for some time. This plane looks great, can't wait to get it.

Well mine arrived today............
See attached pics. Broken wing tips, tail & poorly put together.Look how far out the tail is glued (Even though the packing box is fine.)
Really NOT happy, quality control should never have let this be posted!

Dean, over to you!

I've been browsing in the micro slick thread and the same issues with shipping damages occur! I've also read complaints how badly it flew afterwards. Hopefully this one flies better .

@Nukiwi

Wow, that's a burn. Not all together uncommon, but still a burn. It's no wonder though with that packaging, there isn't anything keeping the wing from moving around inside the box. I sincerely hope that mine does not arrive in that condition.

Well, I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Looks like the packer tried to straighten out the upsweep in the wing tips (This was nothing to do with the shipping, the box was A1 on arrival)
Plus, I will avoid any jokes I can think of, regarding the tail being off by 15 degrees or so...............

Well, now NINE days since they looked at the pics I sent & said they are considering what to do.........

Not good enough, chaps.

Easy option for you. Send me another plane with a return paid label & ....

1. I will have a model I can (Hopefully) use.

2. You can see how poorly your staff push things into a box.

Simple?

They won't do it Kiwi.

Didn't for me...flat out refused a direct email request.

Still haven't gotten any parts either...not that I give a damn anymore. Tossed the wretched thing back in it's box in a dark corner for now.

NO more planes from HK for me. Ever.

Just small parts orders, and they're lucky to get that biz from me.

Vote with your feet, gents...and walk away from these dogs.

Sorry to hear of the issues you guys are getting on these. I received mine through the week and fortunately it's by and large OK. I have a little crushing on the wing tips but not enough to bother me. Eyeballing the tail feathers, they look OK. Looking forward to trying this thing out, I figured it was a cheaper alternative to the model I really wanted, the EFlite SBach...

Hope HK (eventually) does the right thing - a squint tail should never have made it out the factory...

'Y' connector

well, folks, am sorry about damage-in-transit. i wonder if despite of that, any of you could do me a favor: can you post a pic showing the connector that joins the pack, the rx and the esc?
am trying to learn more about it, and if hk is selling it as a spare.
of course, if anyone knows that it is available-and provide the link-will be appreciated.
thanks
