Great news!

Have had the larger version of the Tiger Kitten in plan form for years, it is one of the best e-power structures around.

This kit and something like the 4S lipo/ AXI 2826/10/ 11 x 6.5" combo I have in the present fleet will be right up to date. All that's needed is motor mount change from that lovely MEC geardrive to a wizzyround motor, and this Kitten will lead.

Regards

That is one seriously hefty mainspar. Like all D box wings - the only way to go for a sports aerobatic, IMO - once built, it will never warp.

Couldn't live with one aileron servo any more! I fitted two into my first hefty electrocution - Sig's beloved Four Star 40 - years ago, on account of the torque rods got in the way of the battery - and have used double aileron servos ever since.

Still, if a builder can do this kit, changing it over is a simple move on personal preference.

Looking forward to seeing how this build progresses. This is a good looking and proven sports aerobatic

Thayer,

Welcome to the build. I must say your Daddy-O 525 from Steven's Aero is a sweet looking plane and is destined to be on my board in the near future

A few years ago I found an old sig kit of the tigerkitten and immediately snatched it up. It is waiting for my to buy a house with a real workshop- nothing but arfs for the last 10 years!

Oh, and mine will definitely use a gearbox and two aileron servos. No stinky outrunner in my plane. I've also considered making it "clipped wing" with two wing bays gone from each side. Considering that the plane will be about 1.5 lbs lighter than 20 years ago, the reduction in wing area will not be a problem. ( I'll probably build both wings- the kit version and a scratch of the clipped wing).

I built the electric 'schneider sport' from model builder plans back in 1994 that Bob redesigned for electric. I flew it a few years ago with lipos and brushless and it really flew great. If you search in this forum for "schneider sport" you will find a lengthy thread on that plane with some nice pictures.

Crawlspace,

Very nice! I built a Daddy-O last winter, I may build one of these this winter.

It looks like the kits are already available. Cool!
