There is an old saying regarding relationships...

"When appreciation becomes expectation, the relationship is in peril"

It's not good enough for people to appreciate a freebie, .....it then becomes EXPECTED... and when the offer is rescinded, the erstwhile gift-giver is seen as the slayer of the relationship.

I for one seem to have missed out on all the freebies bar one, and at the time I had no place for an RC boat, so I kindly turned the offer down.
Some here will probably see me as being ungrateful, other will see me as barmy for not snapping up a freebie. Me, I appreciated the offer, graciously declined....but I certainly don't EXPECT them do GIVE me something anytime soon.

Different Strokes, eh?

As thrifty hobbyking shoppers we all want a deal, if it means we can snag a sweet freebie once in a while then all the better, but I hardly think Anthony Hand looked on here and said "wow these guys on rcgroups are so demanding and selfish, I'm pulling the freebies!"...

Its all just business/marketing..lol

How dare you even suggest such a preposterous notion!

A little anecdote here:

I negotiated a bargain with the guys at the LHS, got a TF P-40 at a great price, and I knew he was glad to be getting shot of some old stock which hadn't moved in over a year. He was still making money, and I was happy that I didnt have to deal with o/s shipping etc. I could only go in the next day to collect and pay for it as he had to pull it from a remote warehouse. When I went in to collect, he had just put up signs for their Xmas deals, which was a $25 gift voucher for purchases over x amount, which was the EXACT amount I had negotiated the plane to. I saw the wry smile on his face as he charged me, and then handed over the voucher. I said.."shoulda charged me yesterday huh?"
We both laughed out loud...I know I will shop there in the future, he knows I am a loyal customer, so all's good.

...blessed are those who expect nothing, for they are seldom disappointed..

Forget the free stuff, give me occasional free or reduced shipping and I'll order more. It's the only thing keeping me from ordering several items on HK. They have an awesome looking E-guana buggy right not for $116 but it's over $170 with shipping.

Don't thank me, thank the countless others too polite to mention your impairment.

It's not about preference; it's about courtesy. Not filling threads (especially alert ones) with selfish posts useful to exactly one person.

As for having 1000s of posts, that only means you should know better. But I suppose 500 of those might be "subscribideedoo" or other nonsense. Prove you understand by not responding.

I'm showing support AND putting the thread to the top at the same time.

Please bark about more important things. Get over it.

Aditionally you could have PMed me Einstein in order not to do the very thing you are complaing about.

Now lets proceed with the values that this thread offers.

Sure, but what other cheap HK/China based seller is going to do that, so I doubt HKing ever will.
These big boxes wont be cheap to send. Want free post, buy from the US & pay US pricing.

What would be fairest would be to offer the freebies to their best customers 1st
As much as I spend at HKing, I know that wont be me

Perhaps we need a separate thread " I want suppliers to give me this & that for free"
