With the tape you used does it allow you to slide one tube into another before it grips or do you leave the colored strip on and pull it off when the tube has been pushed in etc.
the part I remover from memory was because I was going to fit a lander the ridge stopped me from sliding it forward into the ducting.my ducting from the front is flush with the fan mount so i put a double layer of tape on the jetfan where it needed to sit on the mount parellel the the fan edge and put a double layer on the rear wooden mount peeled the font tape slid the fan in using the tape as a stop the the rear tape can be peeled and the fan fully seated in the tape with zip ties.using mylar for the eflux meant I can collapse the tube and insert from the exhaust end.I actually had all of the front ducting in place and internally siliconed as to make sure of smooth sealed joints ages ago the only not fully seales point is where the esc is fitted this is to allow the air to flow into the to top intakes past the bec and batts and out into the main fan ducting flow.

Good one Trevor
Didn't your have the clear spiral around it already...........
I have just go the front air ducts in and the joining piece cut to fit the fan, won't glue the front of the ducts to the fuse till I finally fit the fan.
I have cut a slot in the former behind the fan so I can slide the fan backward to remove it later as I am making my own thrust tube that can be fitted from the rear, otherwise it will be a damn hard job to get the fan out for repair etc.
I have also been building/modifying an All Flying Tail as per GazB's with a little change here and there. Servos are in the wing but I don't like the supplied linkages, they look good but I'm not sure I would trust them. The rods don't screw into the clevis because they are too thin. What do you intnd to do with yours.

Thanks for that pavcon, but the BAE Hawk has the AFT on the fuse not the tail fin so its too wide to use that idea, also it is down level with the thrust tube so you cannot go through the fuse without going through the thrust tube. Good thought tho
