Fancy Foam 34.5" MX2 epp

Since fancy foam was closed for the jr indoor event over the weekend I was planning on ordering a freestyle as soon as they opened back up. I hopped on the website this morning around 5:30 am or so before heading to work and I was pleasantly surprised to see not only were they taking orders again but a new model had popped up in the indoor epp section. Knowing how well the depron mx2 flies I jumped right on it and ordered a 1.3 epp Unpainted mx2 kit. Can't wait to try it out!

I couldn't find any threads about it yet so I thought I'd post something.

Here it is. I'm liking the landing gear...It is fun to be able to actually take off again after you land...at least until they break off.

oh, you will love it! I got the chance to fly the proto and it was very sweet. I am kind of in the opposite boat. I have flown the EPP version a number of times and it fly's so stinking awesome I got a derpon version that I almost have together (and will be getting an EPP counterpart for sure!).

Where is everyone? I figured there would be a lot of interest in this plane?? Maybe the weather as not bad enough for everyone to be in indoor mode already...

I can't wait to fly it! I might have to hit some indoor events in the ks/mo area this winter...and maybe pick up a few more fancy foam planes

Things have been so busy with both the JR event and the Central Plains event this weekend here in Wichita I have not had much time to post. I did get a big thumbs up on this one from RJ Gritter and have video of him flying it that will be posted soon. We should also get some good video at the event this weekend.

A bunch of people got to fly mine this weekend. It got banged up but is still going strong. Talked to the printer and I should have printed kits by the middle of next week. I kept the same scheme as the depron version. I cannot wait to see it!

I test flew the prototype at the Wichita event. It flew so well that I bought one on the spot. It was a easy and quick build and flies great. Here's some pics.

Nice job funflyer! Man, you're fast. I bought one but did not even open the package yet. Busy on other things. I thought it flew great at E-fly. Does the gear come with it??..I didn't even look.

Jerry the gear was there but no wheels. It's a very easy build.

It was supposed to have wheels. Looks like you found some that will work. Sorry about that.
Looks great by the way.

No problem Mike. Remember you had to make up my kit at the event, forgetting wheels is understandable. You did great. Thanks for a fantastic design.

Is this a flat plate wing, or is it airfoiled? Really nice looking plane, Mike!

For now it is flat. Might do an airfoiled version in the spring.
