Personally, I like Scott's original choice of color scheme better.

The China Pro hawk scheme that Flip Flop posted is more bland.

OK, I think I have found the battery of choice:

Zippy 6s 5000mah 30c with a price tag of $58.

This should give me a nice flight with plenty of power for basic loops, rolls and moderately fast low passes. What do you guys think?

The only problem with that is the dang shipping will eat you alive. Will these be carried in the US warehouse?

Hey Scott, I just wanted to thank you again for getting the L-39.

What predicted price tag would it have? It can't be hardly any more than the hawk because they are the same size class.

Timeline for having them in the US Warehouse? Having the retracts there as well would be convenient.

Spend the extra 10 or 15 bucks and get batts rated for at least 40C...Zippy batteries are really marginal for DF use and 30C won't adequately supply the power you will need...I would imagine they would get pretty hot as Zippy's really don't test @ their C rating...

I hear people like the nano tech batteries, but I like the Zippy high discharge connecters better. Banana connectors don't do well in high voltage applications, plus they piss me off trying to get the disconneced.

perhaps these would be ok:

Hey Scott, for those of us who are brand loyal (Align, 3DHS, and all other major manufactors), are these authentic China Pro 09 jets and reteracts?

I cut off all of the stock connectors on the batteries and use Deans for below 50 amp setups and EC-5 connectors for everything else rated to 120 amps...Works well...I wouldn't let a connector determine what battery I use...Again, the Zippy's aren't going to be up to the job..

oh boy... I have the 90 viperjet.. do I get the 90 Hawk or the 90 L39? .... decisions decisions! I love HK, but they get so much cool stuff in it's hard to keep up & my house is looking like a hobby shop!

I also have the option of a brand new Habu 32 for a great price from a mate! ....

That's a bad thing?

Here's my favorite modeling saying,
