Arming plug switch from www.sharpRC.com
I've decided that lipo - ESC safety needs to have arming plug switch included. I think the best safety thing people have been adding into electric planes are the arming plug switch. Its simple and easy to add, and adds another layer of safety!! I've switched to the system from www.SharpRC.com, low cost, small, light and high current.

So many ways of doing this. Heck a 1pst swtich would work.
Still a good idea.
For trimming and programming a new model I have a 4 cell pack that I plug into the receiver for that purpose and the ESC never gets powered up.
I learned the hard way once that the throttle channel was reversed and as I plugged in the lipo the model shot off the bench accross the room at full throttle. So yea its a good idea.
