looking for Northrop XB-35 Plans
Anyone have a source for a set of plans for the XB-35, that can be built electric?

check AMA plans service - they have one for about 64" ws, plan #814 @ $24, from July 1996, I think it was made for electric power.

Yup, that one was originally for speed 400's I think. Brushless CR motors would be cool , thought about doing that one myself...

A friend of mine in Seattle built and flew one. He did an awesome job. Here's a video taken in Chilliwack in 2008, with and unfortunate ending. Apparently it has recently been resurrected.

I have seen that vid. It's a beauty! I have the 64" plans on order and look them over. i was wanting to go with something in the 80" range, but maybe build a small one first, just to see how it flies. |

What was the concensus for the cause of the crash a Chilliwack? Looked like maybe a little too slow/nose up. I worry about a lot of bystander chatter and other air traffic for exotic scale model takeoffs and landings unless pilot has nerves of steel and has done it many times.

Throwing out a bunch of old mags and ran across this one today Terry. It's yours if you want it although I imagine the plans may come with the construction article.
