Yeah, I went to fairbanks once. I couldn't imagine living there. Anchorage is beautiful though.

Anchorage is nice, but I love the surrounding area. Boating, flying both full scale and RC, ATVing, hunting, fishing and camping. Alaska is a great place to live... Just have to like what it has to offer.

I spent some time at Eielson AFB (mostly summer) and being it was the only location I got to visit in AK other than passing through Anchorage a few times. I enjoyed it. I could not believe how big the Mosquitos were though. I was on a flight crew so we did a lot of flying there and it was all beautiful from the air.

Yeah Mosquitos are annoying up there in the summer... That's about the only thing I prefer about the city over the rural area other then work, is the lack of Mosquitos... But hey no cockroaches here.

My wife hates bugs of any kind, and the Orkin guy is her hero, especially when she found out that they fly.

Flew my 60" Edge with Motrofly motor today and dead stick landed after 4 minutes. I have an Airboss 80 Esc with a CC 10 amp BEC.

So when I plug a lipo in it does the usual start up beeps. But when I give throttle it does little to nothing. It might make a little sound as if it wants to start, but hardly anything.

DOes this mean my ESC is blown?

is this the ESC you toasted last year?

Its the one I blew the BEC out of last year. yes.

I am running the stock Torque 4016/500 MKII motor in my 64" MXS.
After looking at some full scale photos, I was hoping I could upgrade to a scale 3-blade prop.

Have any of you all tried one on this motor?
Any suggestions for brands or size?

I have been flying Xoar 16x8 props with it.
Any advice is appreciated!

I'll recommend one thing.... try the Talon 90 in there with the Motrolfly... that was the setup in the videos we took of Tom flying Frank's 64 MXS. I took a pull too, and I've never felt that kind of instant throttle response to 1622 Watts and 72 Amps. That motor came down cool after Tom's abuse on an 82 degree day, and that cowl doesn't really have a lot of open intake.

Xoar sells three blades, not cheap at 50 bucks a pop though!

looks like a 15x8 prop would work according to zinger but I would call xoar if you get them.

APC has and electric 3-blade that might work too, but a 3-blade is not going to be the best for 3D
