Grr! That sounds nasty! Be careful you don't make the magic smoke come out... should be interesting. My dad's 630ish motor on 5S with a 13x8 was UN-BE-LIEVE-ABLE! I'll get the video together soon, but I spent about a minute of the flight going from hover, punching vertical about 30 feet (took less than a second), pushing full down into a downline, then pushing full throttle and full up to rotate it 180 degrees back up into a hover, then punching it up again. It was SiiiiiCK! I'm going to go grab the footage off the camera and see what I can do with it.

Any thoughts on top speed between the 14x7 on 4s vs the 5s and props you tested today?

I'm not sure about the math, but the 5S setup seemed faster. The video is importing to my editor now... gonna be a long night.

That was a 13x6.5e APC. Tom.... I know it must have felt like a 13x8, and it looked like one too, but only a 13x6.5.

I was flying around in the high winds at only a few ticks above idle, vertical was ballistic... a virtual dot in the sky in four or five seconds, every pump of the throttle was a lion's growl.

Personally, running from one side of the field to another in a blink of an eye with the Edge is not my style so I'll probably go back to the 14x8 on 4S if Tom didn't kill my plane.

I may also go down to 2200's when I buy new batteries because the one I have now makes for a nice light setup. I agree that going to the 5S setup should be much better on the Extra.

Let me guess, the 14x7 had good acceleration up to a certain point where the 13" props just kept pulling like a feight train.
