Or does the nose have to be cut off and modified???
Why hurting the nose?
You can cut the canopy instead. (I used velcro and a small piece of poster board)

This is how awesome it works:

GREAT VIDEO! Thanks for the reply.
The reason I asked was because I wanted a totally clear picture with no part of the nose showing. May be I can make a mount that will bring the camera forward a bit?

It's a little tricky, but maybe if you elevate it more you won't see the nose, just remember you will pay for it in adding drag and less gliding ability.

You could cast a streamlined fibreglass nosecone to take the GoPro. It'd mess up CG a fair bit, but just shift the battery back a ways to compensate.

Expensive nosedive if it goes wrong though..

I've been considering it for smaller (and cheaper) cameras.

I would imagine the new V3 canopy with clear canopy could be gutted of the guy and made into a good covered camera holder, I am considering ordering just the canopy from BH so I can stuff my cam into it and cut a hole for the lens, should have hardly any drag effect if done properly.

You can use "velcro to attach them just about anywhere. I have velco patches on both wings and next to the GoPro. I also have 2 patches on the tail for forward and aft viewing pleasure!

The IloveFPV mount is a good mount that is easy and fast to build. I've built 2, one for the cheap Hobby King camera and one for my GoPro. The only problem (small) is that it puts the camera forward of the CG. Just keep that in mind when you put your plane together and move some of the electronics aft of the wing.

Good point... In my setup I've moved the battery back in the fuselage to get the correct balance...
