I found it took me a while with the wide view of 2.8mm lens to get used to what altitude im at.

Overall the winds today where OK, just a bit turbulent, plus my video gets weird when I start getting low and it scares me rofl.

I can't wait to get an HD cam for recording, and a better ground recording device.

Here's a flight from yesterday and I did 1/2 mile on Spktrum DX7 and orange Tx. Next up will be installation of Dragonlink for longer range.

Max. Nice flight. It really looked stable. Are you using the R610 Orange transmitter by itself or with a satellite?

I just put one of the R610 in my Skysurfer. Once I trimmed it out it fly's nice.

Oh. If I can vote on the music on your video I would give it a -2.

I was trying to find music in the timeframe of the video. What's the matter with it??? Don't like that stuff???

The R10 had a satellite with it.

I'm slicing up my skysurfer to then since a few ppl done that w/o any problem building one for my fpv flatform my AXN floater have limited space to carry all the fpv equipment but that will not stop me to try on it either

Max. I must just be getting old. No I didn't really like the music but hey I can turn it off so it won't bother me and let those that like it enjoy.

I got the Dragonlink installed this evening. As soon as the weather breaks we'll try a 1 mile test.

@rsands2801 - I fly at 1.4kg with an upgraded inrunner a 3blade prop. No problems on climbing out. I do plan to add flaps in order to bring the approach and landing speeds back down.

@NorCalMatCat - I'm all for long distance FPV, but I get worried when people start pushing vertical numbers like that!

Yea, I was a bit worried too, starts getting a bit dangerous. To both people in the air, and on the ground. If something goes wrong, the plane will go a loooong way..

I agree, I think that's a safety issue now. Besides, if something bad happens you'll screw this hobby up for the rest of us!!!

For one there is no commercial air traffic in my area, most of the planes in my area fly 300 to 1500ft, rarely much higher, which unfortuntely is about the altitude I generally FPV at, though my general flight path takes me outside of the common air traffic lane (between 2 nearby muni airports mostly).

Secondly if I did lose it, it is either going to go in the ocean, the mountains, or the bay at that altitude.

Thirdly I have RTH with altitude control so if I lose it for some reason it should just circle on down to 100 meters above home point.

I have nearly 2k in cash in this setup, I have no plan of losing it again! I am probably a few weeks away from that attempt anyway.

I would like to buy an new FPV airplane. Could you help me with decision?
