how about the polarity of the servo plugs going into the gyro? Signal wire towards the label side...

The weighted grips removes that rubber band effect under load. I did the same test as well and noticed a big difference.

Dr M....the only confusing thing about the wag that I had is prior to the grips and bearings the tail worked with a cheap Walkera servo but wagged with the Fitec. Only conclusion I came to is that the Walkera is faster (as tested buy the program box)

Cx program box isn't very reliable to check servo speed, my fast servo's test slow and my exi213 was very fast but not in use.The Walkera servo is for 4.8 volts and it test very fast on 6v, but doesn't have the needed torque so it would have waged slower or not at all as it wasn't fast enough ( under torque)to follow the gyro signal.Just my theory .

Ok so I've got the same issue I had last time. This time I put training gear on. Ok so heres what happens. I spool up to about half throttle and no issues. The blades dont flop around or nothing. Then right as its just about to lift off, the erradic behavour starts. The rotor disc just acts like it doesn't know where to go. It tilts right , left , forward, whatever. Just random. Any ideas? I have my gyro set up on beginner and haven't changed any of the other settings.

Edit: FIXED finally. I had my throttle curve wrong so the HS was about 30% lower than what it should have been. Had my middle point at 50 instead of 80

Sounds like WOD caused by too much cyclic gain. Drop the Roll and Pitch gains a few points.

what is WOD? I think the problem is fixed as it lifted straight off with no wobble

I did a quick 3 part video of setting up the gyro using John NZ's software. I will post it in a minute. Hope it even helps one person.

I got a question. What is the lowest you wanna go on the cyclic gain. I had some bad wobbles after I was in the air so I landed and dropped the gain from 40 to 30. Took back off and still had some wobble but not quite as bad but still there.

I have gone as low as 20. Currently for all my helis with analog servos I have it set at 25. If you have decent digital servos, you should be able to run the default 40 setting.

Quick, change the sticker on the CX and make it ZYX, then you can make PitchP a happy man at last!
