A question for the Filip 600 proud owners

Hi all,

I'm building a new wing for my old electric sailplane (yes Andy, I'm still on it)

I like the Filip 600 wing and I've got a very positive feedback from the related threads I've been reading.

Here's the question: how many dihedral degrees has each wing section?

Each wing section is 1/4 of the total wingspan?

Two different wings on the 600. E or sport? I'll assume E as the Sport wing is sheeted and spar-reinforced foam.

I don't know about the angles but would appreciate any info on building one as this would be great to have for no-wind sailing on my 600 Sport fuselage, if the bolt holes aligned(???). I wouldn't mind building one myself, possibly with a bit more washout and flaps

If you build it yourself, the bolt holes would be wherever you made them - the chord shouldn't be an issue, at least on my fuselage the rear section is pretty flat.
I might be able to do something for you later..

Yes, if I built one, it would be a no-brainer to align the holes. I think an ARF E wing is available and the holes might need a tweaking.

Clear as cristal Andy. Thanks a lot.

Seems to have 1 degree at center section and 3 degrees at the wingtips.

Does it sound correct to you?

BTW: Andy is a nice guy!!!

"not quite flat" in the middle is how I'd describe it.
I had no flat surface available on which to measure..

Not necessary. I did it using your picture. Pinted it and measured using the TTOUUTMD (that thing one usually uses to measure degrees).

It's 3 degrees center section and 6 degrees wing tips.

Thanks again.

Can you confirm the dihedral degrees I've measured?

Here's the first template for the sd7037 wing root. Yapppeeeee!!!

BTW: which should be the correct wing incidence? 2-3 degrees?

Bye,

Michele

With the V-tail in place and my reinforcement installed, I have no way to measure that..
