If it makes you feel any better, you're helping give me some Christmas funds I'll organise to get a sheet of 100 or 200 boards done so that stock doesn't run out so quickly again. Unfortunately that's still a 2~3wk delay.

I think I'm going to go with a separate board/product for the polyfuse option. I'm going to put a microcontroller on to the board to track how many times the polyfuse triggers, and blink it out via the LED. The PCBs will end up the same size, but the polyfuse/controller version is going to cost more.

My own personal preferrence would be to forego the chip in favor of lower price.

The trouble with dropping the uC is that you won't know if the polyfuse has triggered, other than during flight where you'll notice the servo/control is non-responsive or partially responsive/slow. The polyfuse version + uC would work out to be about $17.95 rather than $13.95 for the TR5 fuse option.
