Okay, but now that brings up another question: how stiff is this material? Can we make decently sized winds without adding a lot of stiffening agents? Will a KF step do to make an inflexible wing? I can hardly wait for my first box to start testing.

So far this material feels and acts like FFF. More testing to come, but do not anticipate any design requirement changes for my combat models.

Can't wait to see those kits Ken!

Geek. I just built a plane from the new foam and it really is the same strength as the blue stuff. It just has a much better surface. Some of the bad batches of blue that i have used this foam is even better.

You will not be disappointed.

That is an outrageous price for PBIII. Not even sure PBIII is still in production.

Only place around me that has blue fff is about $55 + tax for a bundle. You don't get to pick it, they being it out to you... About a year ago I went to buy a bundle (Even though the price is WAY high it was still only a little over two bucks a sheet) and when they brought it out it was a disaster. I asked if they could bring me the best of what they had. I was told that was the best, but the guy really wasn't all that interested, so maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. I refused the order, and went and got my money back. I quit building with foam..... until now

Was that at a Lowes? There's plenty of PBIII here for $39/bundle. I usually try to pick out a bundle that has some damage to the folded edges and negotiate with a manager. Got this bundle for $20. But it's nearly gone. As soon as my tax refund is cleared into my Paypal account, I'll place an order. But I'm afraid I'll miss out on this first batch.

No, it was OC Clous, and regular single sided (so to speak) FFF. Our Lowes quit carrying any of it in favor of Green Guard a few years ago. As we all know GG is junk.
I would take a bundle of the stuff you showed. It looked in pristine condition compared to the stuff I was offered.

My good stuff is scheduled for delivery tomorrow

I will be building a 79" wing span FF Stuka, a 55" Mig-3 and a 60" F4U Corsair
that should pretty much use up my first box of MPF.
